We have been married over 40 years and we love to explore! Kathy is an experienced RN and Ray is retired from Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville, AR. We are the proud parents of 6 children (2 girls and 4 boys) and currently have 10 active grand-children! We are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, camping, water skiing, canoeing and kayaking, wild caving and bicycling.
We enjoy volunteering and helping people when the opportunities arise.
Unique Benefits
Watching the slow designs the farm equipment makes as fields are cut on the farmlands below us and listening to the far off calls of cattle lowing in the evening are mesmerizing and relaxing. We've seen lightning strike the ground over 60 miles away. Storm cells moving across the valley any time of day or night are captivating, and watching the occasional crop duster work the fields below is a real treat.
I also enjoy sitting on the back porch and watching for river boats pushing barges up and down the river. Powerful lights on these boats light up the river at night as they slowly push their loads along.
I enjoy drifting off to sleep on the second story hammock on the back porch and feeling the breeze coming up the side of the mountain.
There are only a few cabins/houses on the bluffs of this entire mountain top and I always enjoy the fact that this is one of them.
